EF nib grinds?

Question

Hi all!

I'm mentally preparing for some of the up coming pen shows and hoping to get some nib work done. Within the last year I realized/accepted that with my cursive and handwriting size, F and even EF are perfect, rather than the M I was using when I started out.

I was wondering what grinds (other than a needlepoint) do you all like, on your EF specifically? And does anyone out there have an Italiac/stub grind on one? Is it too small for stub/oblique work?

I love my mini stub, which is based on a fine nib and I also like my fine left-oblique. I want to do something with my EF sailor but I can't really find anything on EF grinds other than making them more refined and smaller, or an architect (which I'm not a big fan of with my cursive). Sailors are too expensive and since the nibs aren't readily available I really want to be 100% sure on any anything.

Note: I write in cursive more than 90% of the time. I do love shimmer inks and the pens I specifically would like to be looked at are Sailor pro gear slim EF, potentially an Estie EF and/or a Jowo EF or F elastic.

I'd appreciate any feedback back and writing samples 🩷 happy Friday!
