Any books that outline the branches of human knowledge?
I found many textbooks about the scientific method, its underpinnings, procedures and limits.
However I found no book that outlines the several branches of human knowledge, explaining how many families of science there are (social, natural and so on) and how many sciences are part of each family (geology, astronomy and so on for natural, sociology and political science and so on for social, etc etc) and how each other differ. Closest I got was cross-reading chapters on research methods from introductory textbooks, but yet I lack a comprehensive outline and I could miss relevant branches.
Maybe the level of this analysis would be too elementary for actual philosophers of science, but I think it would really help me.
Where should I look for? Are you aware of any books or textbooks that outline and compare different branches of science in a very explicit manner?
