Injury

Parent Advice

So about a week ago kiddo I was catching a bullpen for my kiddo no gear (I know smart move on my part), she sent a slip change with a bit extra spin. It broke harder than normal and connected with my leg just north of my knee. Big hematoma angry bruise, fast forward to last night and I get the brilliant idea to throw BP for her. We went back to cover three topics this week…. Connection, staying in, barrel control. In my infinite wisdom the L screen was locked up in the shed so I wasn’t going to take the time to open it up drag it to the field then have to return it. Yeah well the knee hematoma now has a companion continuation about 2 inches away and my youngest daughter still wants to know what the popping noise was. Needless to say walking into work was unpleasant this morning.

When did practice with the kiddo become dangerous?
Tips for not getting hurt other than use the L screen and catcher gear 😂
