I’m so sick of the deathcore community

I listen to all different types of metal from cannibal corpse to Devin Townsend to Lamb of god. But one of my favourite genres is deathcore.

You would be absolutely shocked to find out the amount of awful people that are still welcomed in that community.

child predators? Yep!
Racists? Yep!
Transphobes? Yep!
Abusers? Yep!
ACTUAL NAZIS? Yep!

It’s so shocking to me. Now I obviously don’t expect everyone to research every band they listen to in order to find out if they are shitty people. But there’s plenty of very well known people in deathcore with proven allegations against them

Most recently the ex vocalist of a very popular band who was kicked out of the band for being transphobic featured on a new song and seemingly no one cares that he’s transphobic? I’ve met many trans and queer people at deathcore shows much of the metal community as a whole is queer so I truly don’t get why we continue to give these people a platform.

Metal is often a place for people who don’t feel accepted to seek shelter, I know that I don’t know many people who listen to the same music as me, but at concerts everyone is welcome no mater your race, gender, Age, sexuality, it’s a place for people who all love the same band to come together and by allowing people who spew hate about others into the community it’s making what was a safe place for everyone into a dangerous environment for people who aren’t white and straight.

TLDR: deathcore is filled with some of the worst people in metal, I’m talking about both the fans and musicians
