Antigravity 2.0, ide urgently needs a "Planning Mode" – It keeps auto-coding and ignoring global instructions

SOFTWARE PROBLEMS and BUGS

Hey everyone,

I’m currently working with Antigravity 2.2 and the IDE, and I'm hitting a massive roadblock with its lack of restraint. It desperately needs a dedicated Planning Mode.

Right now, the moment you explain a problem or ask for an analysis, it immediately starts writing or modifying scripts without any authorization.

The worst part? It completely ignores strict instructions. * I explicitly tell it in the prompt: "Do not modify anything without my permission."

  • I have global rules configured that clearly state it is strictly forbidden to write or alter code without prior authorization.

It doesn’t matter. It just ignores the guardrails and starts modifying files on its own, missing the big picture and messing up the workflow.

Is anyone else experiencing this absolute disregard for system prompts and instructions in version 2.2? How are you dealing with this lack of a planning phase?
