I’ve been thinking about something and I’m curious how others see it.
Lately, there feels like a growing tension between men and women, especially on social media. A lot of conversations focus on what could go wrong in relationships and marriage, sometimes more than on what could go right.
Of course, caution is important. People can get hurt, and being careful makes sense. But sometimes it feels like the mindset has become very defensive, almost like people approach marriage already expecting problems instead of focusing on building something stable.
From my perspective, marriage is meant to be a partnership. Two people supporting each other, growing together, and making life better for each other in a calm and respectful way, not constantly analyzing or keeping score no drama and peace since everything can be solved with communication.
I’ve also been reading a lot of books about relationships and couple psychology, and it made me even more curious about how this plays out in real life compared to online discussions.
I’d be interested to hear perspectives, especially from people in Morocco. Do you feel this shift in mindset too, or is it mainly something amplified by social media?
When people think about marriage or relationships, do you think the focus today is more on protecting yourself and avoiding hurt, or on trusting and building something together from the beginning?
