What was your road cycling fitness journey like?
Hey everyone,
I recently transitioned to a proper road bike and I’m currently in the process of building my form. It’s an amazing feeling to put down the miles, but the beginning can be tough, and looking at the numbers can sometimes be a bit humbling.
I’d love to hear some of your personal stories about how you built your fitness, especially if you started from scratch.
Do you remember how you started? Were you a complete beginner on the bike, or did you transition from another sport?
What was the hardest part for you? Was it the physical fatigue, maintaining consistency, learning how to pace, or something completely different?
How did you overcome those initial hurdles?
What did your progress look like after your first year (or any specific timeframe you remember)?
I’m really looking forward to reading your stories. It’s always inspiring to hear how others pushed through the difficult beginnings!
