Hard time being friends with hijabis

Disclaimer: This is not about ALL hijabis. Obviously, not every hijabi is the same.

This is kind of weird, but I have a hard time being friends with most hijabis.

It's not that I dislike them. I can be acquaintances with them. But I can never be close friends with them.

In my experience, women who wear hijab are much more likely to be religiously conservative, even when they present themselves as liberal. Even if they have some liberal views, they still believe in modesty culture and overall are very religious. Of course, I don't vibe with that.

I don't really know how to explain it. Maybe it's less about hijab itself and more about what comes with it?

Does anyone else feel this way?
