Laptop braindead?

So the title is a joke, but i really do have a problem. The laptop in question is my lenovo ideapad i owned for around the last 1.5 years. Today, at the end of my second to last class, everything worked just fine. But, when i transitioned to my next class and reopened it, my screen was just black. Nothing i could do. The only lights that would turn on were the power button and the charging light when i plugged it in. I really need help with this, so everything is appreciated.
