Who is wrong here?

It could be me, it could be the hotel, it could be both. I don’t really know.

I have three Platinum cards: Vanilla, Schwab, and business. I booked three back to back one night stays at an FHR property to use all my benefits for this first half of the year.

So, it makes sense that if someone has one card and they book a bunch of individual nights, they shouldn’t keep getting the $100 room credit each day because that’s obviously gaming the system - it’s supposed to be $100 for your stay.

Here’s where I could totally be wrong: Since I have three platinum cards and booked a night with three different cards am I totally out of pocket for hoping to get the $100 credit for each individual booking? I’ve heard conflicting opinions on this. Even from hotel staff, but when I spoke to the manager he seemed to be fine with $100 for each night. I guess I’m going to go get dinner at the hotel tonight and see what happens when my checkout triggers tomorrow.

In the future I’ll likely do one night at hotel A, check out at 4, go to hotel B nearby for a night, then back to A to close things out to avoid all of this.

Also want to note the hotel charged my card on file for ~$324 at 3 A.M. (which is suspiciously close to the room rate) even though this was a prepaid stay. This wasn’t the $100 hold they usually do. When I went to ask about it in the morning, they said they couldn’t initiate a refund until my stay was over. Didn’t really seem apologetic or anything. Isn’t that kind of weird? Im hoping they sort it out before the payment gets out of processing and my statement closes. Also hoping it doesn’t mysteriously happen again tonight.

p.s. - this property has like 2 ply scratchy toilet paper which is also kind of lame.
