The smell of burning plastic

The soot grazed the bamboo trees vertically, beside the gravel road.

I stopped and stepped, in search of a source.

Was it the ancient himself having lit a fire, or was it a Mammoth's feast for the tribe that starved a fortnight?

But the smell was much different than a melting Wagyu-

it did not smell japanese....

in fact, the smell wasn't from any of the continents!

It was a man-made disaster burning,

challenging me in my nostrils to outlive my turtle.
