Master conquests question

All I need to get guardian rank 8 is to complete master conquests. The two this week are conductors keep and derealize. For my understanding conductor's keep is disabled till next patch. I used fireteam finder and completed derealize but it did not count. What gives? Does the host need to launch it directly from seasonal hub in order for me to get credit? Do I need to launch it to get credit? Thanks.
