If going to the gym 2 hours at a time makes me have fatphobia then I’m happy to have it.
So I got a job a few months ago where I have to travel regularly. Normally me week out of the month so not bad. Now I am very health conscious, when I’m home I go to the gym at least 4 hours a week plus whatever cardio I feel like doing.
When you travel for work, it’s very hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle. To balance it, when I go to the gym when I’m out of town, I’m going for 2 hours at a time.
Now, my brother’s bf found out and he called me fatphobic. He said working out 2 hours a day isn’t a healthy and that I’m scared to be fat. And he’s partially right. I don’t wanna be fat. But I wouldn’t say it’s unhealthy. I’m not stupid to where I’m going the gym everyday for a week for 2 hours. It’s maybe 3 or 4 times a week when I’m traveling.
I’m eating more fast food, gyms are normally a pain to get to. I uber but I don’t want my company to keep paying for it so I go for 2 hours to get the most out of it. If it’s a mile or two away I’ll run there. I’m not an idiot, I take my rest days, cheat days, or something I do a light workout. The main reason I’m there for two hours to make sure I get the most of it while im there.
Even when I told him that’s what I do and said it’s still problematic cause I care more about looks than health. Tbh that’s true too and idc about fatphobia. I think it’s a bs issue that lazy people made up.
