x1 carbon gen 9 or the E14 gen 6?

Hi guyss,

I'm looking for a lightweight second laptop to run Linux on and carry with me to uni. I'll be mainly using docker, intelliJ and just overall course work.

• ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 with an Intel i7-1185G7, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD
• ThinkPad E14 Gen 6 with an Intel Core Ultra 5 125U, 16GB RAM (upgradeable), a 512GB SSD

The E14 is around €250 while the X1 is around €350, is the lighter weight and premium build of the X1 worth the extra €100, or would you go for the newer E14 and upgrade the RAM later?
