Hey everyone, long time watcher, first time poster! I am almost 31 years old, and I’ve been terrified of flying my entire life. I had never been on a plane until two weeks ago. We had to move my mother-in-law from a different state to California, we drove her U-Haul down and had to fly back. I was terrified! I cried when we boarded the plane and I ended up loving it! Literally flying has been my all-time biggest fear, I read so many of these posts I watched a bunch of TikTok videos, and I still felt so scared. I really think the biggest way to get over It is just to do it and see how it is not as bad as you work it up to be in your mind! I loved seeing the mountains out of my window and I actually really enjoyed takeoff! I just wanted to post so that anybody getting ready for a first flight might possibly see this and have some comfort from my words that it truly is not as bad as you think it is going to be! Another thing I was worried about was trying to figure out the airport and TSA, which again ended up being very easy and straight to the point. Granted my husband was with me who has flown his whole life, but even if you’re going alone in my experience, it was really easy to figure it all out.
