Can I play Elite Dangerous on Bazzite using Epic Games credentials?

Elite Dangerous is one of few games that I regularly play and would really like to know if it'll work on Bazzite when I need to log into it using my Epic Games account.

Some time ago I installed Heroic Games Launcher on my Win11 machine and couldn't get Elite Dangerous to log in using Epic Games credentials.

Since I bought the game on Epic it is tied to my Epic account and won't log in with a Frontier account.

I've been considering moving from Win11 to Bazzite, but I want to make sure this game will log in with my Epic account.

Most of my games are on Epic but I'm not worried about those since they usually don't need to log in.
