Newbie to Nails
I am new at getting my nails done! I am a 30 year old toddler mom who just finally decided hey I want to treat myself, and pretty nails would make me feel good.
Anywho, I have short nails that I have always bitten so I went with acrylics. I mean I don't hate them, even though I don't feel they were done super well, but after I got that done I found out what builder gel is.
Looking for opinions..I would love for my nails to grow out but they have always broken off as soon as they grow to a good length. Would builder gel help with that?
Also, I am constantly typing or writing due to my work, plus normal things like doing dishes, taking baths, washing the car..does builder gel hold up to that? Or does it easily peel like reg gel polish always seems to on me?
Could I go to my appointment in 2 weeks and get the acrylics removed and immediately have builder gel applied?
Let me also say what I want: natural looks nails as far as length, like a little longer than my fingers, and I want an oval shape if that makes sense. The acrylic I got are square but rounded and I don't like the shape. I like designs too, nothing crazy, just a simple design on 3-4 total fingers. Is builder gel good for that?
I see so many cute Pinterest nails that I want and I just don't personally have the nails to do it. Sorry for the "rant", I just want to make sure if I invest the extra money in cute nails that it's worth it.
