Zepbound Hard Recovery

Severe reaction

I was on Zepbound starter dose I think .25 or 2.5 for eight weeks my dose increased. On April 29, 2026 took my first dose. I had some reactions nothing crazy appetite suppression little bit of nausea not terrible. The next dose I ended up with a severe migraine and started feeling some heart palpitations ended up in the ER on Mother’s Day weekend. They told me everything was fine. Just make sure that I increase my fluids and maybe consider spacing out my dosing from seven days to 10 days. Talk to my provider. I spoke with my provider we agreed. We said if I had reactions after that, then we’d have to drop me back down. The 10 day marker hit, which would’ve been May 13, 2026. I got really sick severe suppression severe food aversion, wanting to vomit heart rate was speaking. It was really bad. I did not feel good by that Monday. I had called my primary care doctor and she told me that I was basically through the worst of it and maybe we should consider discontinuing. I ended up in the ER with severe dehydration, but I couldn’t take any food in so here I am four weeks later I’ve had three ER visits all for dehydration, heart palpitations. My appetite has not come back. I’m dealing with fullness. Bowel movements are a little rough nausea. Still I saw a G.I. they told me give it another four weeks and see how I do. They think it’s gonna resolve. Have a good day. I can probably get about 1500 cal in but I have to work at it. It doesn’t come natural my appetite my hunger none of it is returned on a bad day like today. I’m about 600 cal right now. During my four weeks I would gag food even entered my mouth. My stomach is really sensitive. I’m scared that I have gastroparesis. It’s really taking a toll on my life right now. My heart rate‘s been pretty high today, even though I’ve been really trying to stay hydrated. Has anyone else been through this? I feel like four weeks is a long time. Have I improved yes but I’m still really struggling.
