Scanner no longer working. Please Help

So I upgraded my scanner to Scanalyzer Beta and found that it didn't work because it put me over my System SP. So I had to craft a new Scanalyzer Alpha. But it also is not working. My SP is 1540/1620 and I have tried putting it on different positions of the ship with no luck. Any Ideas?
