Best place to live while commuting to Warren Tech Center

Hi All, been working at GM for 10 years, single and has good cash pile to throw at a house/condo. rent is super cheap where I live in the Livonia/westland area but getting sick of the nearly hour long commute back and forth. what is the best area to buy a condo or house near the tech center that doesn’t have crazy taxes?
