Applied Materials or General Motors
I’m currently deciding between the GM TRACK program end a mechanical engineering role at Applied materials as a new grad. I think the TRACK program is a great option to learn but AMAT is closer to home and has better pay due to not needing to rent. I’ve heard the WLB for AMAT is pretty bad and it’s pretty good at GM but I’m open to using this first job as a boot camp to prepare myself for future jobs. Also, I eventually want to end up in the semiconductor industry so I know AMAT is better for that career but I’m still unsure 100 percent if this is the right choice.
