[US] First timer with some potential long term goals.
I have already researched the laws and regulations in my state and country so don't worry I'm not flying blind in that regard.
Hello there. I am looking into getting my first drone possibly. At the moment I don't have any absolute need for one, it just is something I wanna try and learn. However in my thought so realized my family and friends have business which could benefit from someone with a drone. My stepfather designs and build houses. My friend of 30+ years works for a landscaping and construction company which could theoretically use a drone pilot for before and after shots and that sort of thing.
Let's lead with the caveat that I am disabled. This idea is a way to supplement my income to some extent. Why do I mention that you may ask? Because this means a drone is a BIG Investment so I want to make sure I make the correct decision because it can really hurt me if I don't.
That being said I started with three choices.
DJI NEO"2
DJI Mini 4k
DJI Flip
I have basically ruled out the mini 4k I think because it's lack of obstacle avoidance (my disability is I am legally blind but it's not a cut and dry or simple as that sounds but having that feature would be helpful for me)
That leaves the flip and neo 2 which is a pretty large price jump.
Basically I want to know since you know my long term goals (and I am sure I'll find use for it for family and socal media stuff while I practice) should I go cheaper and get the neo 2 or should I go long term and tent the risk on the Flip?
Thanks everyone.
