Starting "AfterHours" — A Private 18+ Vanilla+ Minecraft SMP (Launching in July)

Hey everyone! I'm putting together AfterHours, a private, adults-only (18+) Minecraft SMP, and I'm looking for a small group of people who want to help build a long-term community from the ground up.

The goal isn't to create a giant public server with hundreds of random players. I'd rather build a close-knit group of adults who enjoy building, exploring, hanging out in voice chat, and making some actual friends along the way.

The plan:

• 🟢 18+ only
• 🟢 Private whitelist server
• 🟢 Vanilla+ (mostly quality-of-life additions while keeping the vanilla feel)
• 🟢 Fresh world launching sometime in July
• 🟢 Discord will be our home base until launch

I'll be covering the hosting costs and running the server, but I'm also hoping to find a few founding members who want to help shape the community from the beginning. If you've ever helped with a Discord, moderated a server, organized events, or just enjoy building communities, I'd love to have your input, but no experience is required.

This isn't meant to be a super competitive SMP or a giant content farm. The idea is to create a relaxed, long-term server where adults with jobs, families, or busy lives can log on after work, build cool things, joke around in VC, and actually get to know the people they're playing with.

You don't need to be a Minecraft expert or have thousands of hours. Builders, redstoners, explorers, casual players, everyone's welcome as long as you're respectful and looking for a good community.

I'm keeping things Discord-only for now while we get to know people and put everything together before the official July launch. I'll send Discord invites to anyone who seems like a good fit.
