My friends often accuse me of being Autistic, but I feel that I'm not because of specific things I can do, that I often see Autistic people struggling with.
Most of these accusations come from being obsessed with morality and philosophy to such an extreme that I can relate it to almost any conversation, and I think about it all the time even when I'm winding down.
That, and the fact that I often walk in circles in my backyard listening to music and bouncing a racket ball because it helps me think and daydream.
On top of that I don't like a lot of textures for clothes, and I often can't focus or even hear my thoughts if there's movement in my peripheral vision, or if there's an irregular sound. So I often prefer headphones for most things.
I cannot multitask at all. If I start focusing on one thing, I'll do the other things completely unconsciously. Like if I'm talking to someone and making a sandwich, I'll do stuff like take out bread and put in on the counter without a plate, and then leaving the bread to move to the back door, and then I'll realize that I don't know why I did any of that.
The caveat is that I think I'm an extremely symbolic thinker. I know what someone is feeling by looking at their face or hearing their voice. I often get jokes really fast. Anti humor and dry humor are my favorites. I pick up on hints and suggestions really easily. And in general, I get a lot of meaning out of symbolism in art. These are things that I see Autistic people struggle with to be honest.
I do struggle with using personas or people putting up personas socially, I don't like when people are after approval or trying to appease someone else's values.
