As it turns out, there is a limit to a mother's love. Amanda's mom's limit happened to be at the start of the summer, when she decided that her daughter had done enough lazing around between college semesters and ought to do something more useful with her time. The best idea she came up with is shipping her off to her grandma's farm up North for the summer. As she put it, "A few months of honest work will put you in order."

All Amanda could do was roll her eyes, her mom was always getting ideas about what she should and shouldn't do. She only even stopped staring at her phone on the drive there when she lost service.

Upon arriving at the farm, her grandma greeted her as she unloaded her bags from the car. Amanda stared out at the distant yellow fields which would be her home for the foreseeable future, unsure of what was to come. It isn't until she spots someone off in the distance that she gets interested.

Currently hauling a cart full of milk crates, Amanda's grandma's centaur diligently pulled the heavy cargo, grunting and sweating as she did. Amanda had heard of centaurs before, but hadn't seen one in person. It was only a matter of time before they'd get to know each other even better....
