New pedals adventure

Discussion

Soo. I had some question some time ago about better pedals and how it would affect driving and lap time : conclusion : god damn!

Last pedal : pedals combo set with the T128 (something like that) very cheap

New one : loadcell simsonn

Before i had difficulty with trailbraking. Getting that smooth line you know. Doing somw karting in real life. Racecraft was not the main problem.

After doing some test, the old pedals had deadzone at the start of pressing, meaning that even your muscle work a little, nothing happen when you just want to tap it. Manageble but pain in the ***. And since the spring feedback in them are lame and the angle of pressing is low.. well.. pain.

The solution for that to help was dropping the braking range in the Iracing option. Cant brake 100% anymore, but way more control over the 80% left. For some car like the mx5 its was ok since well.. mx5 love that 80% max anyways.

Now. The new pedals, loadcell. Muscle power machine. Muscle memory driven.

I did test with the Mx5 and the F4 on the small japan circuit (fogot the name) since that was one of the last i did before and low number of coner.

Results... both regular time close to 1 sec faster.

Best ever lap : hell 2 second faster on the fiest couple of lap.

And that was like the first time i start using them, meaning i was still adapting and ajusting my setup

(Btw.. upgrading something make you want to upgrade something else....)

Soo yea. Personnal experience, invest in some pedal if you have low quality combo one of you are serious about sims :)
