Karuppu - an RJ balaji version of “Tamizh Padam” with A-list (Surya & Trisha) guest appearances
Bro, I don’t know what I just watched.
Trisha didn’t even get a proper entry, but RJ Balaji got a full buildup entry? 😭 I genuinely don’t understand why Trisha accepted this. If it was Nayan, I know for sure that she wouldn’t have ever let that happen.
The most screen time was RJ Balaji!! while Suriya felt like a long cameo / guest appearance who showed up for fights and songs. I mean, I don’t know how RJ Balaji sold this script to such a star cast. How is this a Surya movie in the first place?
It didn’t even work as a proper commercial film. Sundar C level commercial entertainment kudukka mudila naalum parava illa, but this felt like ‘Tamizh Padam’ with actual A-list stars doing guest appearances!! Ughh
Such a mid masala movie. I’m honestly so glad I didn’t watch it in theaters.
The only thing I felt OG was Sai’s music. That was probably the only thing that actually elevated the movie….
Damn RJ balaji is a good salesman! Bro sold cameo roles to A-listers and made them believe they were the leads😅
