The World Cup telecast

I'm currently watching my second game of this World Cup and the TV commercials have already had a significant impact on my enjoyment of the games. Each of the so-called "hydration breaks" have featured three solid minutes of commercials. I'm currently watching the game between Canada and Bosnia and when the halftime commercials finally ended the game was already into the third minute of the second half. WTAF??? Anybody else as annoyed as I am?
