How long do fingerprints take to come back?

About two weeks ago on Wednesday I went for an interview at a district, the following Monday I got a called to get fingerprints/ background checked the next day they said they would give me a call when I could start orientation and such, but it’s been a week and a few days and haven’t heard anything from them… I was wondering if it was because of backlog that it’s taking this long or they just completely ghosted me… I have a pretty clean background so I don’t know why
