Hear me out here (SPOILERS)

I absolutely love horror movies and when they toe the line of fucked up and double down the plots usually FANTASTIC. Even older horror movies like the exorcist and what she yells at the priest is still talked about today because people didn’t expect it.
My point in all this, I don’t think Obsession lives up to the hype the movie currently has? 97% on rotten tomato and all critics giving it 4 or 5 stars has me baffled. I think the acting in it was phenomenal. The girl who plays Nikki did an amazing job in captivating attention from viewers.
I think it was cringy and a weird plot line truly. A group of friends and none of them stepped in to help Nikki? The guy she’s sleeping with doesn’t talk to her? Her girl friend that she seems close with doesn’t step in?
I can’t be the only one thinking this?
From an acting standpoint I think it’s good, but I wouldn’t give it above a 3 star rating. There are smaller budgeted horror films that beat out this one every time over.
