Why shouldn't india be a hindu country?

As i asked why shouldn't it be?when the blame of everything that happens in this country is going to land of the shoulders of our hindu culture then why shouldn't it be?our rivers are dirty blame hindu culture,our air is polluted blame hindu culture our law and order situation is bad blame hindu culture when every single shortcoming of indian state is blamed on our culture then why shouldn't we be the owners of it?
