Inconsistent fit and finish

I bought the shiny finish large wayfarer with transition lenses last month for a trip to Thailand last month. They did great on the trip for their intention which was taking pics and video. However they did fit well at all. The arms were very snug and the arms clamped down hard. And they glasses would not sit flush on my face, meaning that they glasses tilted where one lense was farther from my face than the other no matter how much I tried to adjust them. That said I do have a larger head so I knew that I was on the end of the fit spectrum. Nonetheless, I wanted to make them work like a bad marriage and even ordered prescription transitions after all of this.

After about 3 weeks the glasses bricked up. Since I was still in the return window, I decided to get a refund since for the premium price, they just didn’t fit.

Given that I have already ordered prescription transition lenses from my optometrist. I decided to buy the matte finish large Wayfarers. Low and behold, they fit perfectly. I can wear them all day comfortably, even outlasting the battery. With the prescription lenses, they will easily replace my daily drivers.

I hope that I get this lucky with future purchases, but who knows.
