Progress Report after about a year of TRT
I spent 8 months or so on the TRT gel. I was having trouble getting over 500 total, even after adding a third pump per day (we added the third pump after the lab where my total T went down to 253). So, we decided to try Cyp injectable format. I'm injecting 100mg sub-q twice per week to try and keep the levels consistent without a big drop off at the end of the week. The vials are 200mg, which is how much I've been injecting weekly, total.
Other factors: I have Hashimoto's and Rheumatoid Arthritis. I've also had major cholesterol problems my whole life, but all my levels are within range now except LDL, which is only a few points out of range. This was accomplished with 2g per day of quality fish oil + Thorne Red Yeast Rice. I mention cholesterol because of the potential for blood thickening on TRT, but my doc says those numbers look good and my blood is not too thick.
Symptoms: For the last 6-8 weeks, I've been feeling...off. Hot and cold flashes, skin crawling, super edgy (much less patience). I want to start lifting to try and utilize some of that T and work out the aggression and weird sensations I'm feeling, but my RA makes heavy lifting very difficult. Any suggestions here would be appreciated. I am doing light lifting (high reps) as of a week ago, but that's about it. From my reading, it seems that these symptoms can be somewhat mitigated if you're pushing yourself hard.
As you can see from my labs, there's an obvious huge spike around the time I switched. The more concerning thing is the Estradiol, which I understand can go up when your body tries to compensate for a rapid T increase.
I'd love to hear how other are feeling with levels this high. Am I an outlier, or would anyone feel weird on these levels if they're not getting enough activity? I realize this is a super noob post, but I'm pretty new to this. Please be nice, because all this estrogen has me feeling some type of emo that I've never felt.
