I was told I would be working second shift 2-10pm but offer letter states part time why?

I'm confused, I was under the impression that I wss hired for full time work as they said I will be working second shift from 2 to 10 pm. Why does the offer letter state part time? I marked open availability except for Sundays where I would have to leave at 5pm.
