Brothers connect does not work with onedrive if the microsoft account is Passwordless?

I was experimenting with Brothers web connect, the procedure for connection is

1. Log into Microsoft Account. In my case, the account is passwordless.
2. the same browser, go to bwc.brother.com and then select onedrive and then login.
3. Login using the passkey.
4. You get a prompt to grant permission to one drive. Click on allow.
5. This should take me to a page where a number is generated. Instead, I get a 404 page. I check the account and it appears to have an access permission in the account.

Is Brother web connect does not work with MS account that is passwordless?
