[TOMT] boy living with monsters in an abandoned mansion

i am currently 20F, wondering about a cartoon i watched at my grandmothers house around 2010.

i am from the west coast, specifically california, but i don’t think i was watching cable because i don’t remember there being cuts thru the episode, it might have been like a dvd series but we only had season one or something like that.

this boy was living with monsters in a typical spooky dark mansion, i think it might have been on a small hill. i don’t remember how this boy was adopted into this mansion but i vividly remember an episode where, probably a summer day, the boy and the monsters wanted to dig a pool. they started digging but came across big rocks and such. i don’t remember if they didn’t take them out or they did and eventually smoothed it down. either way, they were swimming by the end of the episode.

it was kind of harsh frame work, like 90s cartoons, maybe even a little shittier.

this show wasn’t fosters home for imaginary friends.

i am curious to see if anybody has any idea what i’m talking about.
i’ve been thinking about this for years and i haven’t been able to find anything. please let me know what you think
