No to Beyerdynamic, no to FT1. What now?

Headphones - Closed Back

I'm in a bit of limbo with headphones atm.

I've tried Beyerdynamic twice but the slides broke so I don't trust them anymore.

I had IEMS recommended but they hurt my ears for long durations and the Y cable was mildly annoying. Sound quality was excellent though. They were Zero Reds. My ears did toughen up and I could endure them for longer but traditional headsets are comfier and more convenient to take on and off. I gave them to my Brother.

FiiO FT1 were recommended and they are what I have right now. The sound quality is great and they are comfy and don't have a strong clamp force and I feel like the sliders won't break like beyers, but like with IEMS they have a Y cable except now it's a thicc boy cable that's greatly annoying. The cable is constantly getting clamped under my left arm when gaming and even when watching stuff I'll fold my arms etc which clamps the cable, so any head movement puts tension on the right earcup. I've nearly had them for a month so the return window is closing.

So what alternatives are there? or do I suck it up and learn to live with the FT1?

I'm UK based, have £200 to spend and don't mind if it's closed or open backs, but it's gotta be 1 left side cable, no Y cables. Open or Closed doesn't matter but I have to choose a flair so went closed.
