Px7 s2e low volume cut off

Ive been using the Px7 S2e for a few weeks now and I’m pretty happy with them, but there is something bothering me. When i turn the volume almost all the way down, it cuts off the volume completely. Previous to this headset i used a pair of Sony 1000xm3 which let me listen to media in very low volume, but with these i cant.

I use headphones to listen to audiobooks when i go to sleep so this is somewhat important to me.

Does anyone have a fix or is this by design?
