GOW LAUFEY “HATE”

Some people assume that anyone who is critical of GOWL is only doing so because it has a female protagonist. Personally, that’s not really why.

Would i personally prefer a story centered around Kratos? Absolutely 🤷‍♂️. Its a franchise that has been built around him for decades. That said being said, I’m willing to judge this game on its own when it comes out. Faye seems ok, and I’m open to seeing what they do with her. I wasn’t a fan of some of the fairy tale style “magic” stuff shown in the trailer tho

What’s been bothering me more is the discussion around the game. Over the past week ive seen a lot of people jump to conversations about gow without knowing shit about the franchise, instantly calling any criticism misogyny or going after Kratos. Its like some people care more about what the main character represents other than the actual game itself😭

I also feel like i keep having to defend myself everytime i question something about the game. The second youre skeptical or dont like a thing, it must be because of the main chracter being a woman. In reality a lot of people just have concerns about the story they’ve been invested in for years

At the end of the day Im happy we’re getting a nee game, but Gow (kratos) has always scratched that itch for me that no other game or character has done.

(Idc what or who you support politically. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, I just think video games and their communities are best when political stuff is left out.)
