I am fairly new to Anbennar and have never played in Lake Federation before, so I do not understand a certain thing which I just want to ask about if anyone knows.

Usually when I play in Cannor, they always become a supermassive blob which immediately rivals me. Becoming the end game boss.

So this time as Grombar I tried to rush and expand into Forbidden Plains early and managed to (decently) surround them the best way i can to stop them from expanding, by conquering Ogre/Centaur HRE and colonizing around them best way i can.

I also tried to conquer/expand into them while they were still Fragmented, but it was rough and quite a Jumpscare honestly, with all the City-States joining the war together which i didnt expect as it didn't show up on the war UI, so I just took the provinces of the Minority Religion City-States to avoid too much AE, as well as the Low dev Centaur regions which they had conquered/colonized.

Year is 1578 and they just formed out of nowhere (Which I didnt expect). Now I thought of this and expected it, but I predicted that even if they would form, since I would have surrounded them and prevented them from being a Huge Blob, surely they will have a much Smaller Army right?

But Gods I was wrong, Currently they only have half my Development, and they have same development as Lorent. Yet they have a larger Army and Navy than me, and an Army and Navy double the size of Lorent the 3rd superpower around, which they don't seem to be deleting means they can seemingly afford it.

Now I understand they spawn with Quantity Ideas, but that is not enough to explain the insanely large Army they have, as far as I know Quantity will give you 33% more soldiers, Not 100%+ more, and Quantity shouldn't affect the Navy size.

Its not as if I cant beat them, Im 1 tech ahead, nearly 2 techs ahead on military, and have them surrounded with Forts, can probably slowly chip away at them after I've recovered my manpower, but I can already foresee how tedious it will be. And Grombar Half Orc run generally has a OP military in terms of both Army and Navy in general.

So my Question is, Why are they so big in terms of Army/Navy Strength even when they are so small and a mere shadow of what they usually are? What modifiers are they getting which allows them to have such a massive army even when they are quite small compared to what they usually are?

Why does Kaylsto/Lake Federation just naturally always have so many troops?
