HELP. I think my friend has a crush on me.

Question

I am a 23yo female and my boyfriend is a 25yo male. We have a mutual friend, let's call him x. He's also one of our teaching associates of another class in my university. I'm currently in my thesis year and so is my bf.

So x became friends with me through my bf. Before I continue I also want to add that thay the country I'm in is religious and we are moderately practicing it, it's an Asian country.

Moving on, so x is a very friendly person extremely helpful to those who he really cares about. X has always been really nice to me and my bf specially. X is 26 years old so within our age group. Lately I've been getting a feeling that he's been into me but in very respectful way? For instance all my bfs friends maintain a respectful distance with me despite me being great friends with them. He's the only one who doesn't mind standing close to me etc. There was also this issue I was having in my thesis where I couldn't source this equipment since it was expensive. Now x promised to help Mr and my bf a lot. I talked to him about it and he said he knows a vendor and that he will buy it for me. I obviously refused since it was expensive but he insisted thay he also needed it. Then I had to pick the equipment from his house and he was super sweet explaining how each thing works. Recently in uni my mum came with me to set some stuff up for my thesis and I saw x and he just waved at me even tho usually he comes tomeet. As soon as I left I insantly recieved his message thay he was super sorry for not meeting me since he gets awkward around other elders. Then said he will help me tomorrow if I needed his help. There's a lot of other instances I am missing out on but am I crazy for thinking he might be interested in me? Since he isn't really like this with anyone else. He's ALWAYS helping me. Went out of his way to get the equipment from the other side of the city too.

Also please don't look at this from a westernised lens!!!
