Implant

I have cortical dysplasia and when my husband was doing research he came across some sites that claimed my condition is largely drug resistant. I went through 5 different drugs as a kid before getting to two that worked for me. I stopped taking them and was seizure free for 20 years but now we're back on the train of finding the one that works. Keppra was giving me nightly insomnia and panic attacks for months, oxcarbazepine gives me debilitating stomachaches and lamotrigine increased my seizures.

For those that got RNS/VNS implants, what was the process? How many drugs did you go through to prove you were drug resistant and how hard did you have to push to get the implant?
