Contacting the Board of Directors/COO to describe a toxic work environment that led to my termination?
Location: Indiana
I believe I was wrongful terminated from a large, local non-profit. I have submitted complaints to the state Committee for Civil Rights and the EEOC (I have a disability that relates to the reason I was fired), and the law firms I have contacted have said I now have to wait for those bodies to make their determinations. My ideal outcome is to get my job back with the accommodations I had been trying to request.
My mom and my therapist feel that it would be good for me emotionally to write a letter to the non-profit's board and COO explaining the toxic environment and lack of support I experienced. I agree, but I feel like it could come back to bite me if I do have a case.
