Finding Friends IRL?

Seeking Advice

I recently received my official Autism diagnosis (YAY! And other feelings!) after being diagnosed with very severe ADHD a few years ago, and one of my therapist’s big goals for me is to find ways to make community with other people on the spectrum.
I am *pretty* good at masking, which is part of why it took so long to get diagnosed, but I am someone who has always had just a few good friends who are all very neurotypical. But I don’t really ever share many interests with my friends, which has led to me feeling very lonely deep down.
The friends I do have are very kind and cool, very trendy and polished and creative, but I have never really been able to make friends who like what I like (dnd, anime, video games, language learning, general nerd stuff, specific periods of history, reading random academic works on things as broad as esoteric history to barn hexes etc).

Where are you all going/what are you all doing to make friends who are a bit more like you?
