i just wanted to ask a question related to past controversies

hi, im new to the eddsworld fandom due to the very lovely cuptoast animation, something thats been bugging me recently though are past controversies involving ableism, pedo jokes, racism, certain previous team members with extremely serious allegations being defended, and just some pretty terrible things all around
i was just wondering if there has been any acknowledgment/apologies for these things and id eddsworld is something that is okay to support
