Hi,

In 2002, I attended a summer camp where a guy sang one of their songs, and in the computer room he was watching a pretty intense video. I was 12 years old at the time. Two years later, in elementary school, I heard the name again - slipknot, and some of my classmates were listening to the band. That's when I really got into them (I later found out that the video had been "My Plague").

I started with the first album, then discovered Iowa, which became my number one album for years. In 2006, I grew to love Vol. 3, but by then something already felt different to me. It just didn't have the same feeling. The last song that really hit me hard was "Before I Forget."

I listened to the next album (All Hope Is Gone) as well, but it already felt very different. Of course, I was changing too, and that's fine. I've listened to a few songs from the later albums, but that music feels very unfamiliar to me now.

I'm a classic old-school fan, easy. Vol. 3 is still acceptable to me, Iowa is the true magnum opus, but honestly, the self-titled first album is The Slipknot album.

I'm very happy that so many demos and early recordings can be found online. It's incredible how enjoyable MFKR and "Clownz" are.

The part of the self-titled album that resonates with me the most is the second half, starting with "Spit It Out" and everything that follows.

If I could choose only one song, it would be "Me Inside."

Thank you for reading.
