Behind every memorable dish at Octopus Skiathos is Chef Thanasis Voulgaridis, a chef whose philosophy is rooted in simplicity, seasonality, and respect for the ingredients of the Aegean.

Drawing inspiration from the sea that surrounds Skiathos, Chef Thanos creates dishes that celebrate the island's culinary heritage while embracing a contemporary approach. Fresh seafood, vibrant local produce, aromatic herbs, and carefully balanced flavours come together in plates that feel both refined and comforting.

His cooking is driven by a belief that great food begins with exceptional ingredients. Whether it's perfectly grilled octopus, handmade pasta with fresh seafood, or a beautifully prepared catch of the day, every dish reflects attention to detail and a genuine passion for hospitality.

At Octopus, Chef Thanasis transforms the bounty of the Greek islands into experiences that capture the essence of summer: relaxed, authentic, and unforgettable. His cuisine is not about complexity for its own sake, but about allowing each ingredient to tell its own story, creating dishes that linger in the memory long after the last bite.

For guests visiting Octopus, our Chef offers more than a meal , he offers a taste of Skiathos itself.
