How often do you wear a face mask?

In East Asia, wearing a mask was nothing new - long before Covid. I am half Chinese, half Polish and my mom (born and raised in Beijing) would frequently wear a mask because she didn't want to get ill or spread anything or (as a woman) would mask up if she felt she didn't look nice enough in public (no makeup). But my mom really made me and my sister to wear masks for health reasons - even my Polish dad adopted my mom's way and he would mask up (especially now since my parents are older now).

Just curious how often would you mask up? (my mom would say, "戴上口罩，回家后把它摘下来！戴上口罩，回家后把它摘下来"
