So I got my lobes done, both on the same day with a reputable piecer at a tattoo/piercing shop.   My left ear healed up nicely with no issues.   

But my right is struggling so much and I'm afraid I'm just gonna have to take it out and redo it? :(    it's been a year and 4 months since they've been pierced.

I don't sleep on it, I used a travel pillow anytime I sleep on that side.    And because it's been so stubborn, Ive been avoiding sleeping on my left as much as possible.

I used neilmed saline spray when I first got them to clean, and I'd rinse them really well in the shower.   After awhile I started doing LITHA.    But then I think it got infected.  So I started cleaning morning and night with the neilmed.

It gets crusty very fast.    Kinda itchy but nothing unbearable.       I usually let it air dry or use my hair dryer.

Im not sure if I need to downsize, my right i was able to change jewelry after a year.  But my left  when I tried to insert the jewelry it couldn't find the end of the hole? Only the front it would enter.     So I re inserted my plain jewelry from the back and that was fine.   It didn't hurt taking them out or inserting.

When getting them pierced this ear something I think went wrong?   My piecer struggled with this side and dropped something during the process.  this lobe had lots of bleeding too. But I never had a piercing before so I didn't question anything.

They've both gotten snagged at some point so I'm sure that reset the healing.

But any advice?   Does it look infected or hopeless?  Should I take it out and redo?     Change up my cleaning method?   What's this red bump at the back?
