[USA] Unproven therapies and the despair we feel as parents
In short: desperate parents are an easy grift.
My add-on: anecdotal evidence is less strong than studies with good methodology.
There is a thread on r/medicine on a recent The Guardian article about unproven USD 15k infusions being marketed for autism while there is no proof it helps.
So parents of autistic children are getting fleeced. Being exhausted, desperate and feeling this is an endless situation makes us easier targets.
